John Eddy has decades of political experience beginning over 25 years ago when he was the charter volunteer and lead spokesperson for Kids Voting USA, a national educational program designed to get youth involved in active citizenship. This passion has stayed with him as he is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board for American Majority, a non-partisan grassroots training organization that aims to recruit and educate activists and candidates to run for political office. Since its inception, American Majority has trained over 17,000 activists and candidates nationwide and plays a leading role in the conservative grassroots movement.
Most recently, John was asked to serve as a member of a national steering committee for John McCain for President as well as an Executive Committee Member for the Republican Party of Arkansas. Prior to becoming Partner at Southern Meridian, John ran a private finance company with investments in clean energy, banking, and various domestic and international start-up ventures.
Before starting a small business, John served as the National Victory Director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) in 2006. In this role, he was responsible for direct strategic management and fiduciary oversight of the national political budget. Before being asked to serve at the RNC, John was appointed by President Bush as Deputy White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in the Office of the Attorney General. As the White House liaison, John was responsible for senior communication between DOJ and The White House as well as various senior appointments and all Schedule C personnel.
In 2004, John worked at the RNC as a Deputy Regional Political Director for 16 states. His portfolio included the East and West coasts as well as various coalitions such as Eastern Europeans, Irish Americans, and LDS outreach. John also spearheaded the inaugural event for President George W. Bush’s campaign kick-off in Florida where he organized over 500 volunteers to go door-to-door throughout Central Florida in concert with multiple media outlets covering Bush/Cheney’s historic grassroots efforts.
During his time in Washington, D.C., John lectured both nationally and internationally on strategic fiduciary allocation, grassroots marketing, political strategy, and media communications. John also helped organize support along with former Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) chief strategic negotiator, General Edward L. Rowny for a NATO nuclear missile defense shield. He led delegations to the National Security Council as well as addressed the prestigious American Foreign Policy Council concerning Bush Administration efforts supporting the democratic movements within the Ukraine. John is also the state chapter President for United Against a Nuclear Iran led by Ambassador Mark Wallace.
A native Arizonan, John worked at various levels in the Arizona Legislature as well as the Arizona Associated General Contractors. John graduated from Arizona State University’s School of Government, Politics and Global Studies. He currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his wife Tracy.
