Laurie brings her passion, tenacity and over 20 years of business experience to Southern Meridian.
Most recently she served as the Arkansas Grassroots Director for Americans for Prosperity. Before that, she was a Field Representative for American Majority where she trained thousands of Arkansans on how to engage in the political arena. She has been traveling the state since 2008, meeting and mobilizing conservatives and building Arkansas’ largest grassroots infrastructure.
Laurie attended the University of Arkansas before serving four years in the U.S. Navy from 1987-1991. While there, she was one of the first women to complete EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) training. Laurie went on to work for the Navy's Marine Mammals Program, training whales, dolphins and sea lions.
In 2004 Laurie launched her activist career by forming a group called Parents Protecting the Minds of Children. In 2009 she helped organize political groups and grassroots organizations across the state and the nation with Arkansas Unite!.
Her involvement with grassroots organizations allowed her to turn her passion into a career. She lives in Cabot, Arkansas and has two daughters, Emmy and Hannah.
