Targeted communication leads to victory
In 2008, Steve Knight, battled in the Republican Primary for California’s 36th Assembly District against the Mayor of Palmdale and a self-funding attorney.
Although Knight had an impressive record of public service—a Palmdale City Councilman with over 17 years on the Los Angeles Police Department—his opponents were heavily funded and poised for the challenge.
While Knight’s opponents saturated television and radio outlets, Meridian Pacific worked with Knight to create a customized communication strategy. Meridian Pacific produced targeted direct mail with unique messaging for each community, as well as email and telephone communication.
The result on Election Day was a resounding 19-point win in a three-candidate race.
