Marie Brichetto Fenn has spent nearly a decade crafting messages, developing strategies, and implementing effective tactics for public affairs and political campaigns on behalf of business organizations and more than a dozen Fortune 400 companies.

Marie works closely with California’s business community, educating the press, voters, and opinion leaders on issues and legislation that impact jobs and the economy. Marie’s experience also extends to serving as an on-the-record spokesperson and working with diverse coalitions on complex policy issues involving housing, water, energy, climate change, labor laws and tax reform.

At Meridian, Marie manages a portfolio that includes statewide ballot measures and public affairs projects. Most recently, Marie served as the on-the-record spokesperson and managed the Yes on Proposition 11 campaign (2018). She also played an integral role in the No on Proposition 10 campaign (2018), building a diverse, broad-based coalition that ultimately helped defeat the measure. Marie successfully managed the public affairs efforts that lead to the passage of two historic bills in the legislature: AB 398 (E. Garcia, 2017) and AB 1482 (Chiu, 2019)—California’s leading cap-and-trade program and California’s first-ever statewide rent control policy.

Prior to joining Meridian, Marie worked at Redwood Pacific Public Affairs as an Account Executive where she conducted media relations for public affairs clients and managed statewide ballot measure campaigns.

Marie holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs and Politics from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus. Marie is also a recipient of the 40 Under 40 award by the American Association of Political Consultants, which recognizes leaders in the political consulting/public affairs profession.

Marie resides in Fresno, California with her husband, Mike. In her free time, Marie enjoys traveling the world and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
